GREETING SONG
Hello, Hello! How nice it is to see you!
This simple song is a great one to use to both greet children as they enter a session or start a new activity, and to sing farewell to them as the activity or day ends.
The song provides the opportunity to sing to each child's name individually whilst either making eye contact with them (if appropriate) or including a warm and welcoming gesture towards them. As each name is 'time-bound' within the song, it is possible to welcome an entire class in this way within a very short space of time.
This is a really positive and inclusive way to start any session or activity.

This is such a great 'welcome song' to use. I haven't found many songs where you can actually use individual names, so that each child feels specially welcomed into the session. And for those who are really shy, we sing hello to their shoes or their knees instead!!
